Some of my previous experiences have tremendously helped shape my approach to patient advocacy and healthcare social media.
Stanford Medicine X
The world's premiere Everyone Included medical conference on the intersection of healthcare and technology. I've been part of Stanford Medicine X from the beginning, first as an ePatient Scholar in 2012 and 2013, as an ePatient Advisor in 2014, and as a member of the Executive Board in 2015 and 2016. Just look for the tweets tagged #MedX.

Symplur connects the dots in healthcare social media. The Symplur Signals platform promotes deep understanding of healthcare as seen by patients, doctors and other stakeholders with real-time access to insights from the Healthcare Social Graph®.
Symplur pioneered the analysis of social data in healthcare and maintains the largest publicly available database of healthcare conversations powered by the globally recognized Healthcare Hashtag Project.
As their Patient Community Advocate, I helped build a community around data through blog posts, contributing to case studies and white papers, and some other external communication outlets including Symplur’s newsletter and social media channels.
